About our Care Workers
We ensure that we have robust recruitment process in place to ensure only the right staff are employed by ESME Healthcare and that such employment falls in line with legislation and regulatory expectations.
All our Care Workers undergo comprehensive induction and training prior to providing support to a Customer.
We have a comprehensive structure of processes in place to ensure that we supervise care workers regularly including spot checks and regular supervisions, training updates.
Annual Appraisals are carried out with every member of the team to discuss their performance and to plan their future development.
We update moving and handling training and other knowledge on an annual basis.
All staff have access to qualifications and training which includes personal development
Care Workers providing a service to customers with specific needs will receive appropriate specialist training where required.
Range of Qualifications of Care Workers
- Care Certificate and comprehensive Induction
- Level 2 in Health and Social Care (if not already qualified)
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care (for those wishing progression)
- Moving and Handling
- First Aid/Basic Life Support Health and Safety
- Food Hygiene Fire Safety
- Medication Management Infection Prevention Control Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults Covid19
- Dementia Awareness Autism Awareness
We would expect our managers and senior staff to progress to Team Leading at Levels 3 and 4 and work towards there Level 5 qualifications in leadership and Management. With the expectation that our Registered Manager have their Level 5.
Any auxiliary staff we may employ such as receptionists, Customer Service staff or Quality Managers will also undertake inductions appropriate to their post and as advised by Skills for Care and hold appropriate qualifications. For Example, Customer Service or Business administration.
